This direcotry contains the OGLE-III catalog of high proper motion stars
observed towards the Magellanic Clouds.

The directory structure is as follows:

README - this file

ident.dat - main catalog file

CPM.dat - list of common proper motion binaries (the same as
                    in the paper)

otherID.dat - identification of stars in other catalogs:
                    SPM4 (exemplary ID: 0580401860),
                    OGLE-II (exepmlary ID: LMC_SC8 211845) and
                    MACHO (exemplary ID: 78.5860.31)

fcharts/ - finding charts of individual objects

remarks.txt - remarks on selected objects

pap.ps.gz - postscript version of the paper Poleski et al. (2011),
Acta Astron. 61, 199, describing the catalog.

Format of the file ident.dat:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
 Bytes Format Units Description
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1- 15 A15 --- Star's ID: OGLE-III field and database number
 17- 18 I2 h Right ascension, equinox J2000.0 (hours)
 20- 21 I2 m Right ascension, equinox J2000.0 (minutes)
 23- 27 F5.2 s Right ascension, equinox J2000.0 (seconds)
     29 A1 --- Declination, equinox J2000.0 (sign)
 30- 31 I2 deg Declination, equinox J2000.0 (degrees)
 33- 34 I2 arcmin Declination, equinox J2000.0 (arc minutes)
 36- 39 F4.1 arcsec Declination, equinox J2000.0 (arc seconds)
 41- 47 F7.2 mas/yr Proper motion in R.A. (\mu_\alpha*cos(\delta)
 49- 52 F4.2 mas/yr Statistical uncertainty of proper motion in R.A.
 54- 57 F4.2 mas/yr Systematical uncertainty of proper motion in R.A.
 59- 65 F7.2 mas/yr Proper motion in Dec.
67- 70 F4.2 mas/yr Statistical uncertainty of proper motion in Dec.
72- 75 F4.2 mas/yr Systematical uncertainty of proper motion in Dec.
 77- 82 F6.2 mas/yr Total proper motion
 84- 88 F5.2 mas Parallax
 90- 93 F4.2 mas Uncertainty of parallax
 95-100 F6.2 mag I-band brightness
102-106 F5.3 mag Uncertainty of I-band brightness
108-113 F6.3 mag V-I color
115-119 F5.3 mag Uncertainty of V-I color
121-128 A8 --- Luminosity class (subdwarf, WD, WD_cand. or empty)

Parallax and its uncertainty equal to "0.00" indicate that it was not
possible to measure it. Similarly V-I color of "9.999" indicates V-band
brightness is unknown.

Finding charts are Portable Network Graphics images. The names of the files
are in the form: ID.png. The finding charts are 60"x60" subframes of
the I-band reference frames centered on the stars. Red lines mark
the J2000.0 postion of the star. The red number indicates the epoch to which
the image corresponds. North is up and East to the left.

Any presentation of the scientific analysis or usage of the data from
the Catalog of High Proper Motion Stars in the OGLE-III Data for
Magellanic Clouds Fields should include the appropriate reference(s)
to OGLE paper(s).
