This directory contains the distribution of the "OGLE Catalog of RR Lyrae
Stars from the Small Magellanic Cloud".

smc_sc*.tar  --   tar archive containing entire distribution of the Catalog
                  of the SMC_SC* field.

dmod.tab     --   Table with basic data for double-mode RR Lyr stars. The
                  columns are: Field, Star_ID, Star number (consistent with
                  published SMC maps), RA(2000), DEC(2000), P1 (days), dP1
                  (days), P0 (days), dP0 (days), P1/P0, I, V, B, I_0, V_0,
                  B_0, I-amplitude, V-amplitude, B-amplitude, R_21,
                  \phi_21, R_31, \phi_31, Classification.
                  Magnitudes are intensity means. Amplitudes and Fourier
                  coefficients refer to the first overtone pulsation (P1).

table1.dat   --   red clump stars E(B-V) reddening in the SMC fields.

table6.dat   --   cross-identification of the same objects in the Catalog.

Catalog of each field has the following structure (e.g. catalog of
the SMC_SC1 field):

subdirectory fcharts  -- finding charts of individual objects; gzipped  
                         Postscript version. The file name is: object_id.ps.gz
                         The finding chart is a 60"x60" part of the I-band 
                         frame, centered on the star. White cross marks the
                         star. North is up and East to the left.

subdirectory phot     -- photometry of individual objects:

    subdirectory  I   -- photometry in the I-band
    subdirectory  V   -- photometry in the V-band
    subdirectory  B   -- photometry in the B-band

                         The file name is object_id.dat.gz in each of these
                         subdirectories. Each file contains 3 columns:
                         HJD-2450000, magnitude, error.

smc_sc1.tab        -- Table with basic data for RR Lyr stars in the field
                      SMC_SC1. The columns are:
                      Star_ID, Star number (consistent with published SMC
                      maps), RA(2000), DEC(2000), P (days), dP (days), T_0
                      (HJD - 2450000), I, V, B, I_0, V_0, B_0, I-amplitude,
                      V-amplitude, B-amplitude, R_21, \phi_21, R_31,
                      \phi_31, Classification. 
                      T_0 corresponds to maximum brightness, magnitudes are
                      intensity means.


Any presentation of the scientific analysis or usage of the data from
the Catalog of RR Lyr stars from the SMC should include the appropriate
reference(s) to OGLE paper(s).
